Charis Crosses
“Charis” is Greek for “Grace” These crosses are made from scraps and broken glass that were destined to be thrown away. Discarded. Useless. The empty cross represents the wholeness and beauty of salvation that God has made from a fallen and broken world – the brokenness of His Son and the brokenness that all of us experience. Broken hearts. Broken dreams. Broken relationships. Broken spirits. Sometimes we need to be broken for healing to begin. The miracle happens in what God does with the pieces. Only God knows how they will go back together. God’s light will shine in and through each believer as a part of the body of our risen Christ. In time, we can look back and see the beauty of God’s healing. For it is only by His Grace that we are healed and made whole. When they were full, He told His disciples, "Collect the fragments so that nothing is wasted.“ John 6:12 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 |
